A Message from TSPP Director, Don Dickson, about
Texas School: In 2008, we had almost 1,000 photographers attend this great school...providing 34 classes from which to choose. Every year, attendance tops the numbers from the previous year...and in 2009, we expect enrollment to bust 1,000! The cost? $435 for TPPA members, which includes all evening meals. This is the best education value in the country with the finest instructors in the industry. This year (2008) we gave away over $50,000 in door prizes, I hope you are planning on being with us for Texas school 2009! Registration for The Texas School of Photography will begin at 11 PM, Jan 3, 2009. Each year, most classes fill within the first 5 minutes! If you've ever attended our school, you know just how much fun it can be. Just being able to spend five days with the instructor of your choice is worth it all. However, in addition to the intense instruction from some of the best photography minds in the business, there are also social events every night throughout the week, with plenty of fun, food and fellowship. What happens when you gather 1,000 photographers together in one place and tell them to have a blast for one week? Answer: TEXAS SCHOOL ! 2009 will be our 34th anniversary for Texas School. Because of the remodeling at A&M in College Station and conflicts with motel rooms, we are moving Texas School to the University of Texas at Arlington for May 3-8, 2009. This is updated information from what attendants were told at Texas School 2008. I am sad to leave A&M College Station, but I am so excited to have found a great new location. There are many great advantages of the new school being at the University of Texas at Arlington: 1. We will be 100% together on campus, no more "10 different class locations all over town" 2. Free parking for everyone all week 3. Five great hotels, all next to each other 4. Larger class rooms 5. 10 minutes from DFW airport, free shuttle 6. Still many great evening events as only Texas School can do! So remember, registration will be January 3rd 2009, at 11:00PM (not midnight this time... which was a bit confusing in the past).
