How many classes can I sign up for?
When you attend Texas School, you are in one class with your instructor for the entire week. When you register, you will list your top three class choices. Many classes are in high demand and are filled on a “first come, first served” basis. Registration opens January 3rd at 11PM Central.

Advanced Photoshop Tools and Techniques

Whether you are a traditional photographer or a photoshop artist and compositor, having excellent photoshop skills can be a game changer. This course is designed to fill your toolbox with tools and techniques around multiple photoshop topics from basic post processing to high end compositing.
Creating a Multimedia Experience for 2024 Seniors
Intermediate to Advanced
High school seniors want to feel amazing and feature their passions. This class will work in challenging locations (outside, inside, darkness, bright sun, colorful interiors) where you will learn to read the light and adapt it to the senior’s story. Alison will cover lighting setups with modifiers, gel color, fog, and fire.
Hands-On, On Location Portraits
Intermediate
Learn to find usable portrait light in a natural environment. You will learn to move a subject within this light to create a beautiful portrait. Discover how and when to use flash as an assistant to natural light on location. Carl will challenge you to become a better photographer than you already are.

Jamie will cover marketing, pricing, software, products, and sales. Learn how to print with high-volume photo stations to offer event attendees a branded photo from your business.
Photoshop – Zero to Sixty in a Week
Beginning to Intermediate
In today’s photographic world, you need to do some Photoshop work on your images to stand out and to compete. Michael will take you on a whirlwind tour of the software teaching the basics and intermediate skills you need. Learn shortcuts, actions, and how to make your own brushes. By the end of the week, you will feel confident and comfortable using Photoshop.
Between Light and Shadow

Explore the three key elements that comprise light – that most fundamental ingredient in any photograph. It is the balance of these three elements that defines the Quality of Light. Begin in the studio with lights that you control and then learn how to blend ambient light in your images. You’ll learn how to “find” the right ambient light and how to use lighting tools to create the light that will set the mood of your photo.

In this intermediate program we will cover AI and how it can have a huge positive impact on your business. We will begin by covering how it works. We will then explore many of the tools available and go in-depth into many of them throughout the course. This will also include Large Language Models like ChatGPT and how to actually use it at an expert level.

This class will enable you to communicate more intelligently with your lab as well as provide money saving skills for individuals who edit their own work!
Simply Dramatic Lighting

Learn photographic lighting techniques and tips in this hands-on lighting class. During this class, you will discover how to create dramatic lighting using only available light. Texas School is pleased to announce 7 exciting Pre-con classes on Saturday, April 27. Registration is only $59 with your Texas School Registration. The price for non-attendees is $99. All classes begin at 10AM and end at 5PM.
