Doug has taught and photographed in all 50 states in the U.S. plus Canada, Mexico, Scotland, Wales, England, China, Ireland, Denmark and more. He is the co-founder with Randy Kerr of the Texas Photo Festival and World Photographic.org. He teaches at the Texas Photographic Workshops held at the Texas Museum of Photography in Caldwell, TX. He is the author of six books on photography, published by Amherst Publishing.

Level: Beginning to Intermediate
The journey of achieving a balanced set of photographic skills include both honing your intuition in field camera skills along and editing. Beginning with scouting for light quality the World Photographic Pathway Course promises to help you gain better in field skills for Macro, Floral, Animal, Landscape, Street and Travel Photography.
Get your steps in while on photo walks and capture some of North Texas most beautiful locations such as the Dallas Arboretum, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Japanese Garden, Fair Park, and the Fort Worth Zoo. We will shoot some architectural, landscape photos and Street photography in Downtown Dallas, etc. Learn to map the path of light during the golden hour at Trinity Trails to do a Dallas night skyline photo.

We will work on composition, how to use exposure to tell your story, documentary story telling for a good cause, picking the best f-stop, shutter speed and ISO to get the best image in the camera, selecting the best lens for each situation, and how to plan your shoot for the right light. We will help you improve your photography with hands on lessons and personal critiques.
