There’s a big difference between nude photography and fine art nude photography.

For many of us, we think of “nude photography” as images that appear in Playboy, Penthouse, and other magazines and websites. We think of those images as “sexy” or “erotic” and probably think that the purpose of the images is to arouse sexual interest in the viewer.

On the other hand, there is fine art nude photography. Fine art nude photography is intended to celebrate the human form, is considered art, and is found on the walls of galleries and collectors. While these images may also arouse sexual interest in the viewer, that is secondary to the art.

In this pre-con class, you learn the essentials of lighting, posing, and the use of props in creating fine art nude images. You will work with a live fine art nude model under the direction of Doc List.

We Will Cover:

  • Lighting: one light, use of prop
  • Lighting: one light, use of fabric
  • Lighting: two lights, use of prop
