Creativity is a tool, not a talent.

Imagination Captured is a hands-on creativity workshop for photographers and artists who want to create more meaningful images in both their personal and professional work.

Knowing how to use a camera and edit images is only part of the creative process. The bigger challenge is often knowing what to create in the first place. Throughout the week, students will explore practical methods for finding inspiration, overcoming creative blocks, developing personal projects, and creating more distinctive work for their clients. Through creativity exercises, brainstorming sessions, photographic challenges, and group discussion, participants will learn to generate ideas on demand rather than waiting for inspiration to strike.

This class is ideal for photographers who feel stuck in a creative rut, competitors looking to create stronger and more imaginative images, and professionals who want to offer clients work that stands out in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Students will leave with a practical playbook for turning creativity into a repeatable process.

Students should bring a camera, a laptop capable of image editing and file management, and a willingness to experiment. Participants will be challenged to explore unfamiliar perspectives, focal lengths, and post-processing techniques as they discover new ways of seeing and creating.

• PREREQUISITES: 

  Lighting 2: I kill it with available light.
  Lighting 3: Confident with additive light and OCF.
  Lighting 4: Strong use of multiple lights and mixed lighting situations.
  Post-Production 2: Looking for guidance beyond image adjustments.
  Post-Production 3: Can work with layers, layer masks & understand blend modes.
  Post-Production 4: Digital art & Composite experience. Experience in blending image with brushes.
