Class Description
Invest your Texas School week with Elizabeth and Lindsay and gain the clear path toward building a profitable, sustainable portrait photography business from the knowledge, experience, and proven tactics that have established both of their husband-and-wife studios to withstand the test of time. With a combined 40+ years of portrait photography and business experience, Elizabeth and Lindsay don’t just teach these principles—they live them every day in their own studios.
Whether you are launching your portrait business or looking to take a newer business to the next level, FirstFrame will help you establish the firm foundation necessary for healthy, intentional growth. Together, Elizabeth and Lindsay will take you beyond simply taking beautiful photographs and show you how to build a business around the right clients, the right systems, and the right financial structure.
You’ll begin by defining your vision, goals, and business boundaries, creating a clear roadmap for the business you actually want to build. From there, you’ll learn how to intentionally structure the client experience from the first inquiry through the final delivery of artwork, creating a consistent, elevated experience that attracts and retains the right clientele.
Elizabeth and Lindsay will dive into the heart of a profitable portrait business: pricing, product development, and a print-based philosophy. You’ll learn how to build an offering that is designed around finished artwork rather than simply selling digital files—and how to price and present that artwork in a way that supports real profitability.
You’ll also learn the anatomy of the pre-booking consultation, how to photograph a session with the eventual sale in mind, and how to conduct a sales appointment that feels natural, professional, and client-focused. Finally, they’ll address the often-overlooked side of building a sustainable business: financial practices, money management, and understanding the numbers that keep your business healthy.
This is not a class about quick fixes or chasing the latest photography trend. FirstFrame is about building it right from the beginning—or rebuilding the pieces that need a stronger foundation—so your business can grow with intention, serve the right clients, and remain profitable for years to come.
