This hands on and informative course is intended for beginners to the world of video and has been designed for those interested in starting or increasing their video production skills. Your instructors will demonstrate over the course of the week how to create video that will include real world examples, including live event video (parties, social, family) as well as “script to screen” video examples. You’ll learn how to select the right camera and lenses for the assignment, plus what, why, and when to record and edit. Although not required, students are welcome to bring their own camera and editing system so that they can record and edit alongside the instructors. The hours are long; but, the results are worth it.
Course topics will include:
- Basic and advanced camera techniques using traditional video and DSLR cameras;
- Non-linear editing skills and techniques using computer software;
- Lighting, and how to get that “sweet” sound for video;
- Computer graphics;
- Wedding, Industrial, and Corporate video ideas, PLUS more.
